這部電影改編自真實故事！
Michael Oher是一個社會邊緣家庭的黑人小孩，
毒品、槍械、犯罪、暴力充斥的環境；
似乎就像大多數沒被搬上檯面的故事一樣，很難有翻牌的餘地。
因為母親吸毒加上生存能力差根本無法照顧他，一直到16歲前 Michael 流離在不同家庭中。
直到因緣際會 Michael 進入了Briarcrest Christian School，
在偶然的一個寒冷雨夜遇上Leigh Anne Tuohy夫婦，
Michael 的處境令他們一家相當同情，更進而收養了他並視為家裡的一份子，
由於Tuohy一家人的溫暖與支持開啟了 Michael 生命中不同的契機，
目前為美國NFL – Baltimore Ravens 的 Offensive Tackle。
這部片令我喝采的是，
少了很多typical Hollywood 的味道，在Sandra Bullock精湛的演技下，
很直接卻也是真情流露的溫暖讓我不覺沉醉，
這次的奧斯卡金像獎影后Sandra Bullock 真的是拿得一點都不為過。
我看完電影，多少會在網路上做點相關搜尋，
尤其是片中引用的這段詩句，
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”

Russian aggression against Turkey in 1853 led to the Crimean War between Russia and an alliance of Britain, France and Turkey. During one of the battles, there was some confusion about the orders, and 673 British cavalrymen were sent on a charge up a long valley with Russian artillery firing on them from three sides. They suffered heavy casualties and, though able to engage the Russian forces at the end of the valley, they were soon forced to retire. More than 200 of them were killed.
Militarily, the charge was a terrible blunder, but the reputation of the British cavalry was greatly enhanced, thanks in no small part to Tennyson’s famous poem “The Charge of the Light Brigade”: “Into the Valley of Death / Rode the six hundred…/ Theirs not to reason why; / Theirs but to do and die.”

【 附 注 】 丁 尼 生 （ 1809-1892 ） 是 英 國 桂 冠 詩 人 （ poet laureate ） ， 即 由 國 王 任 命 的 官 方 詩 人 。 據 說 他 在 報 上 讀 到 上 述 輕 騎 兵 旅 故 事 ， 心 情 激 動 ， 花 了 幾 分 鐘 就 寫 成 《 輕 騎 兵 旅 衝 鋒 行 》 。
由於 Michael 在橄欖球比賽的優異表現，
使得許多大學爭相邀請 Michael 前去就讀，
但為了達到這些大學的入學標準以及獎學金，
Michael 必須提升他在校的學習成績，
但在某一科目上，指導老師認為 Michael 必須特別完成一份論文才能給予他所需要的這科成績，
在 Michael 思緒全無時，Mr.Tuohy引用了上述那首詩來啟發他，
而後 Michael 寫下了他的獨白：
「勇氣 很微妙，
有時你可能甚至不知道你為什麼這麼做，
我的意思是，任何蠢人都可能有勇氣，
但榮譽才是你有所為，有所不為的真正動因，
那才是真正的你，才是你想成為的你。
若為重要的事情努力而失去性命，
那麼你就擁有勇氣跟榮耀，
你應該希望擁有勇氣，努力得到榮耀，
也許甚至求助他人，教你怎麼做來取得這些。」
這也是一部我大力推薦的電影!!
